There is something so, I dunno, joyous about watching the Harper government MPs collapse on themselves or watching the Conservatives “well-planned” actions get the parody treatment. This is immediately followed up with blinding frustration, but at least we get the small wins right?

Last week we saw it in Chris Alexander as he crumbled under interview questioning, this week Jason Kenney is called out on some Conservative bullshit. Ah yes.

It’s the little things right?

Well, you’ll be happy to know there are a few BIG THINGS in there too. Happy reading.

  • BIG WIN: Supreme Court decision acknowledges Aboriginal title over Tsilhqot’in First Nation land!
  • “Welcome to Vancouver, here on unceded Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations traditional territories.” Well, at least Gregor can do something right, amiright…
  • Ivonne Hernandez is on track to getting her permanent residence.
  • So, the Harper government never bought the url “economicactionplan.ca.” So, ShitHarperDid.ca decided “why not buy it and turn it into a parody about how terrible the economic action plan is?” And that is just what they did.
  • Can we all agree that Peter MacKay is totally the worst. But Sexism Bingo is a pretty hilarious way to make that point abundantly clear.
  • Give 30 is a fantastic initiative and you should check it out!
  • What’s the perfect word that will encapsulate the idea of “white people ‘discover’ things”? Columbusing.
  • “You’re telling me that women just spend their whole day navigating an obstacle course of sexual menace? Yeah, pretty much.” This skit is funny, yet terrible at the same time.
  • Chilean government announces plan to buy and return disputed ancestral lands to Indigenous communities.
  • Good news everyone. We’re no longer down with with debilitating depilating! body hair is back.
  • I passed this quiz and was pretty pleased with myself.

Final note, in case this week’s events haven’t got you smiling yet. Remember how last week’s Feel Good Friday and that time Press Progress wondered whether a boot could do a better job than Peter MacKay?
