Shani Mootoo, author of Valmiki's Daughter, discusses her latest novel with Allendria Brunjes. Set in Mootoo's home country,Trinidad, Valmiki's Daughter examines how class and race touch upon gender and sexuality in multi-faceted and unconventional characters.
