The regional resistance to the land destroying development in Guelph known as the Hanlon Creek Business Park (HCBP) boiled up again this week as 5 days of action took place.

Kitchener Based Xterra Construction has been awarded a contract to develop a section of the Hanlon Creek business park in Guelph, and could start their ecosystem destroying work at any point.

During the Week of November 23-27 2009, representatives from the land protectors who blocked construction of the site this past summer undertook action in Guelph and Kitchener.  These actions included KW based AW@L delivering a letter to Xterra construction, similar to the letter delivered by the "Friends of Hanlon Creek" to those involved in last summer's construction.

On Thursday November 26th 2009, the HCBP resistance returned to Kitchener and converged at the main offices of Xterra, appropriately situated on Guelph St in Kitchener.  Here they attempted to speak with representatives from the construction company. In response the firm locked their doors and ignored the concerns of the peaceful mass.

Featured now are interviews with land defenders from the HCBP, Site 41, and a representative of the Six Nations Hoskanigetha.  Also included are their megaphone speeches aimed at the closed doors of Xterra Construction.
