the Recording Industry Association of America would like to see copying one's own cds excluded from "fair use" provisions.  This seems unlikely to affect Canadians, even by example, but it's got Nora wondering whether this rearguard action speaks to the tunnel vision nature of bureaucracies.

Cathi's discovered that there's a new development in computing: an enzyme computer that could potentially live in your body!  Researchers envision it as a new way to deliver medication, which has Nora and Cathi worried about personal freedom in the future.
