Two weeks ago, more than 25,000 people marched in the streets of Toronto, opposing the influence Stephen Harper was hoping to exert over the other G20 leaders.
“Sadly, he was successful,” said John Cartwright, president, Toronto & York Region Labour Council. “The austerity agenda that was adopted is clearly going to lead the way for massive cuts in public services.”
