In 2007, the Liberal government promised to develop a long term affordable housing strategy. They released their strategy on November 29.
“It’s called Building Foundations: Building Futures but there’s not a single cent in here to build new affordable housing,” says Yutaka Dirks of the Advocacy Centre for Tenants Ontario and co-chair of the Housing Network of Ontario.
Dirks spoke at the “Housing as a Human Right” forum last Friday in Toronto.
