Alyssa Manning is legal counsel to many U.S. Iraq War resisters seeking immigration status in Canada. She spoke at the Day of Action in support of U.S. Iraq War resisters on Saturday in Toronto organized by the War Resisters Support Campaign.
“Since 2006, the government has been doing everything that it can to avoid the real issue in the case which is the illegality of the war, the egregious violations that are occurring on the ground in that conflict and the moral choice that our resisters have made to come up and refuse to fight in that conflict,” says Manning.
