Hundreds protest in Toronto over Egypt's Mubarak

| January 29, 2011

Show Notes:

Several hundred people gathered in Dundas Square on Saturday afternoon in Toronto for a rally to support the anti-government uprising in Egypt and Tunisia.

Sid Lacombe of the Canadian Peace Alliance doesn’t believe the current regime in Egypt will ever make strides towards a democratic transition. “Hosni Mubarak is completely out of touch with the Egytian people,” says Lacombe.

“He’s instituted sets of policies that have impoverished masses of people in Egypt.”
