Across the world on Friday, animal rights activists pressured the IOC to reject the Tokyo 2020 Olympic bid until Japan ends the dolphin slaughter.

In Toronto, activists demonstrated for five hours outside the Consulate-General of Japan to raise awareness of the daily brutal slaughter and captive trade of migrating dolphins in Taiji, Japan.

Listen to interviews with several activists including Toronto organizers Jennifer Berman Diaz and Helga Kukasch.

There were simultaneous demonstrations globally on Feb. 22, 2013.
