Harvey Drdul of Nanaimo has been a Toastmaster for 40 years as of May 1st, 2009. He encourages people to benefit from Toastmasters as he has in all areas of his life. This year marks the 85 years since Toastmasters International was founded by Dr. Ralph C. Smedley, and Harvey is organizing an event in Nanaimo on October 3rd to celebrate. This year is also the 60th anniversary of the Malaspina Club in Nanaimo.
