Living On Purpose

Episode #75 ~ Dr. Tomorrow ~ Introduction

| November 19, 2007

Show Notes:

Frank Ogden, also known as Dr. Tomorrow, is a futurist living for the last 30 years on his unique houseboat in Vancouver's Coal Harbour. Lynn Thompson initially met him over the phone in January 2007 during the "live" show of "Living on Purpose" on CHLY when Roger Nelson was also on the phone from the Global Consciousness Project (GCP). Frank is involved with the GCP, which, let's face it, is not surprising.

The Financial Post describes 87 year old Frank as a "20th Century visionary" and calls his ideas "outrageous", an ideal combination of qualities for a life of profitable nonconformity. From Papua New Guinea to the high-tech jungles of silicon, satellites and photons, Frank has a reputation for innovation and originality. In 1979, he began monitoring 200 satellites and 2,000 data banks, to provide a video clipping service for forward thinkers wanting information on new and relevant business developments. Now Ogden circles the globe as consultant to companies and countries, preparing people to trek along the fast track. He has presented over 700 talks in the last two decades and over 2000 people have walked out of his talks because of those "outrageous" ideas.

"A bulldozer of change is charging over the planet," he says. "And if you're not part of the bulldozer, you'll become part of the road."

In October 2007 Lynn had the opportunity to visit Frank at his cyberden, and record conversations with him on two consecutive days on either side of sleeping on his couch! Today's episode is the first introductory segment. The rest of the recording will be Episode #77, on November 26th.
