One of the most highly respected flutists in the world, Ron Korb has travelled around the globe for years collecting and studying indigenous flutes. Reflecting jazz, Chinese, Celtic, and Latin influences, his music embodies the diverse cultures, traditions and experiences of his travels. Ron has composed gold and double platinum selling songs for major Asian artists. Ron Korb mesmerizes his audiences with dynamic performances of beautiful original music and interesting arrangements. His work is accessible but also introduces new sounds and instruments to delighted audiences.
Lynn Thompson was introduced to Ron through her brother Jamie Thompson of Toronto, who is a flutist of reknown as well. And so unfolded the opportunity to record this conversation by phone in November, 2007.
