"I used to tell people that I wanted to be a singer/songwriter in my next life ----thinking of course of the proverbial reincarnation idea. One day while I was driving to a contract that I was working on, I was making up one of my own little songs by singing it in the car (a great way to place to make your own music) and it suddenly dawned on me 'this IS my next life'. That was an epiphany for me. I had started my journey of finding my way into my own music and understanding the power of simply doing that for me. This has led me to selling my native American Flutes and encouraging people who have always wanted to make their own music to begin the journey with the flutes. These are some of the areas that are very interesting to me. Another direction is 'music belongs to everybody' and a favorite quote of mine and philosophy of life is taken from George Bernard Shaw: 'we don't stop playing because we grow old...we grow old because we stop playing.'"
Terry Mack and Lynn Thompson share conversation and reflections on the personal journey into music and flutes in this excerpt from a recent recording.
