Nanaimo on Vancouver Island is the hot spot for blues in the summer, with the 3rd annual Nanaimo Blues Festival happening downtown in August 2007.

On the final weekend of August one of the highlights was the return of Diana Braithwaite and Chris Whiteley, touring with their new CD "Morning Sun", "an affectionate tribute to the classic 'Bluebird Records' blues sounds of the 1930's and 40's...all acoustic and all original compositions...a satisfying and enjoyable musical journey."

The following Monday Chris and Diana hosted workshops at the Blues Underground, and Lynn Thompson had the opportunity to record this interview with them after the vocal workshop.
