Show Notes:
Google is not only taking over the world, in that charming benevolent dictator way it has, but also my homepage with iGoogle, its newly minted version of the good ol' Google screen . You've always been able to pimp your Google page with tasty info morsels, but just this week google pimped the pimping with custom themes and Googly gadget goodness you can make yourself. Right now my iGoogle page presents my Gmail, my RSS feeds my facebook notes, my Google calendar, weather, a wkipedia search tool, a map and a Gtalk module. And I can create gadgets to share with other Google pals like a framed photos GoogleGrams and other Facebooky little gizmos that are cute enough to gag a kitten, but not really my cup of joe. If this sounds a little "Blue Mountain e-cardy, you're own the right track. Still nice if you're into that, Morningstar. I'm torn, I'm a big fan of the simple google search box. It is a thing of beautiful. But, I do like having all my tools close at hand. But the cuddly screen candy. Bleech. So, iGoogle, powerful, useful, cuddly. Resistance is futile. For my emerging tech company w8nc I'm Wayne MacPhail.
