Healthcare databases and the surveillance state

A panel of experts in the United Kingdom have found that one in four government databases are illegal and should be scrapped immediately. The report, released last week, says that the UK has become the most invasive surveillance state, and the worst at protecting privacy, of any Western democracy. Micheal Vonn of the B.C. Civil Liberties Association says that Canadian politicians are leading Canada down the same path as Britain.
