In 2007, the B.C. Civil Liberties Association and Amnesty International applied for judicial review of the actions of Canadian Forces over the transfers of detainees under the Canada-Afghanistan Detainee Agreement.The two groups say the transfer deal doesn't provide adequate safeguards to ensure that prisoners would not be tortured by Afghan forces.
