In 1907 Alexander Pantages built a theatre in Vancouver's bustling Downtown Eastside. A hundred years later, the theatre is in near ruins. Plans to restore the Pantages and make it the home of the Vancouver Opera have fallen through and the theatre is under threat of demolition. We speak with Janet Leduc of Heritage Vancouver about why it should be saved.
