Building media in support of social movements

| June 19, 2010

Show Notes:

It is vital to create media institutions that allow grassroots social movements to engage in public discussion on their own terms says Dawn Paley.  Paley is a founding member of the Vancouver Media Cooperative, which works to highlight voices and positions that are denied spaces not only in the mainstream media but also in much of the alternative media.

Part of a panel discussion held to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Vancouver Cooperative Radio.

Thanks to the Vancouver Media Coop for recording this event.
