The partition of India, 63 years on

| September 1, 2010

Show Notes:

Before conceding independence to India in 1947, Britain divided the country in two.  The splitting of Pakistan and India resulted in 2 million deaths and a conflict that remains tense to this day.  The partition and its present day repercussions were the topic of a talk given recently by professor Hassan Gardezi at a forum in Surrey, BC.  Redeye spoke with him shortly before the forum.
