If you earned one dollar every second it would take you about half a day to earn the median annual Canadian family income. In 12 days you would be a millionaire. It would take another 32 years before you became a billionaire. In their new book The Trouble with Billionaires, Linda McQuaig and Neil Brooks document the dramatic effects that the super rich have on our society. They spoke November 3rd at the Vancouver Public Library.
Part 1: Neil Brooks, is professor of tax law at York University's Osgoode Hall Law School. In his presentation he outlined the six premises that form the basis of the book.
The speaking event was co-sponsored by the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (BC Branch) and the Vancouver Public Library.
