Redeye asked John Calvert what's behind the huge increases in the cost of electricity in British Columbia. Calvert is the author of Liquid Gold: Energy Privatization in B.C. He says that the province has forced BC Hydro to buy all its new power from private producers at a much higher cost that it can produce it itself.
