When a grassroots health group asked people in their community what issues concerned them, the lack of good dental care was a major issue. People reported living with chronic pain, feeling embarrassed in social situations, and being at a disadvantage in the work force. Melanie Spence is an organizer with the Alliance for People's Health. She says the B.C. government should be providing basic dental services for people who aren't able to access care.
