New bill to bar active union members from college boards

Last November B.C. Minister of Advanced Education, Naomi Yamamoto, introduced Bill 18. Buried within the bill is a provision that could bar instructors and staff who are active in their unions from sitting on college governance boards. Phillip Legg is a staff representative with the Federation of Pos-Secondary Instructors.
