Show Notes:

The voter turnout for the recent provincial election was 75 per cent, the highest in the last 14 years. Quebec voters evidently felt that the stakes were high. While the Parti Quebecois was able to form the government, the Liberal Party almost matched the PQ in the popular vote. A new right-wing party, Coalition Avenir Quebec, elected 19 members and the progressive party, Quebec Solidaire, elected two members. We speak with Roger Rashi, an activist with Quebec Solidaire.
