Book: Paved with Good Intentions

A new book challenges the idea that non-governmental organizations working in the Global South help people to achieve meaningful and just development. Nikolas Barry-Shaw and Dru Oja Jay co-authored the book. They argue that NGOs have lost touch with their radical roots and that most of them no longer empower the people they come into contact with.
