Thorncliffe and Flemingdon are two working class communities in Toronto. Last month, a Muslim woman in Flemingdon Park was attacked by a group of men while she was taking her children to school.

Zabia Afzal is a PhD candidate at York University and co-founder of Thorncliffe Reach-Out Teach-In. The group recently organized a rally to counter Islamophobia in Toronto. Zabia Afzal speaks with Redeye host James Mainguy.
