B.C. and Alberta sign trade agreement

The Trade, Investment and Labour Mobility Agreement was signed by B.C. and Alberta this past spring. TILMA, as it's known, will harmonize labour standards and business regulations in the two provinces. Residents of Gabriola Island realized that the agreement could prevent members of their community from having a say in developments that affect their future, and that sent them to protest in front of the legislature in Victoria this week.
