B.C.'s new Coastal Forest Action Plan

The B.C. government announced its Coastal Forest Action Plan on October 29. Minister Rich Coleman says they are shifting to more second-growth harvesting to provide stability and sustainability.

Ken Wu of the Western Canada Wilderness Committee says the plan falls down on a number of key points, including strategies to reduce exports of raw logs and promote jobs in local communities.  >> get more info
