The Black Rider

| January 30, 2008

Show Notes:

The Black Rider is based on a German folk tale of a man who sells his soul to the devil to win the hand of his lover.

It was written by Beat literary legend William Burroughs, put to music by Tom Waits and originally staged by avant-garde theatre artist Robert Wilson.

Laura Lamb saw a production of the play in Vancouver and tells us why she left the theatre disappointed.
