Saskatchewan is the world’s largest producer and exporter of uranium. It has been supplying the United States with uranium since 1942 when the Manhattan Project starting developing the atomic bomb.

Successive provincial governments have permitted continued expansion of the industry, saying that the uranium is being used for peaceful purposes to meet the need for clean energy.

Jim Harding has been active in the fight against uranium mining for over 2 decades. He was in Vancouver in November to speak about , and read some excerpts from his new book, “Canada’s Deadly Secret: Uranium and the Global Nuclear System”.
