CanWest has brought a lawsuit against Mordecai Briemberg, saying he was involved in the production of a spoof of the Vancouver Sun last summer.

Mordecai Briemberg is a activist well-known for his work for the rights of Palestinians and his criticism of the actions of the Israeli army and government.

At a forum on May 14, over 200 people heard five speakers talk about this lawsuit and the issues it raises: Mordecai; his lawyer Leo McGrady; support committee member Brian Campbell; writer Murray Dobbin and Martha Roth of Jews for a Just Peace.
