Buzz Hargrove, president of the Canadian Auto Workers, has blasted what he calls the insanity of the environmental movement, which has abandoned the auto worker to his fate.

Sam Gindin worked for the Canadian Auto Workers union for 27 years and now teaches at York University. He sees the crisis in the CAW as part of a broader disconnect between labour and social movements.
