Dr. Brian Day is best known for his promotion of private health care as a solution for the problems of the Canadian medical system. At the meeting, delegates voted down a motion to introduce user fees and health savings accounts.

However, they didn’t get a chance to discuss the CMA’s controversial position paper “Medicare Plus” released on the eve of the AGM.
