Many of us imagine that the beef we eat comes from cows eating grass on the open range.

In reality, most of the cows that we end up eating in our hamburgers are fed corn and live in cramped pens on giant feedlots. And they need to be fed a constant diet of antibiotics to tolerate the overcrowding and the abnormal diet.
