Local organic farmer Rebecca Kneen says that when we buy our food, we should also be looking at food miles, in other words, the cost to the environment of long-distance transportation. If we buy not only organic but also local, the impact is much more significant.

There is currently a moratorium on the techonology that prevents farmers from saving seeds by rendering them sterile. That moratorium is constantly under threat from agribusiness and governments that support it. Hope Shand talks about the most recent attempt to weaken the moratorium at a meeting in Granada, Spain.
