Lower Mainland road expansion to be built as a P3

The Gateway project in B.C.'s Lower Mainland is the focus of vigorous opposition from local government, transportation activists and unions. They say the project to twin the Port Mann Bridge will significantly increase single-occupancy vehicle traffic into the centre of Vancouver.

The B.C. government is planning to build the project as a public-private partnership, a move that Eric Doherty says will see commuters paying bridge tolls for many years to come. >> get more info
