A retired judge with the B.C. Supreme Court and the Supreme Court of the Northwest Territories will head the public inquiry into the death of Frank Paul, an aboriginal man from New Brunswick who was dumped in an alley in Vancouver by police more than eight years ago.
Patricia Monture is a Mohawk from the Six Nations and founder of the Aboriginal Justice and Criminology program at the University of Saskatchewan. She speaks about native deaths at the hands of the police. She also shares some of her own children's experiences dealing with racist attitudes in local police officers.
