As little as 30 years ago, the world was a very different place if your sexuality didn't match the norm. If you are a gay or lesbian senior, this means you have lived the majority of your life in an atmosphere of hostility and discrimination. This study into the experience of gay and lesbians seniors and the health and social service system was conducted by the McGill School of Social Work and looked at the experience of seniors in Montreal, Vancouver and Halifax.
