Edward Said wrote his book, Orientalism, in 1978. Thirty years later, Said's critical analysis remains perhaps the central intellectual reference point in discussions about relations between Europe and North America and the peoples and cultures of the Middle East. Jamelie Hassan is an artist, curator and activist based in London, Ontario. She curated this exhibit in part as homage to Edward Said.
