The second wave of the women's movement began in the 1960s. Forty years later, there have been many accomplishments but major challenges lie ahead for achieving true equality for women.
Shelagh Day is a long-time feminist activist. She is currently Director of the Poverty and Human Rights Centre in Vancouver. She remembers the early days of the women's movement and looks ahead to the struggles to come.
