Toxins in toys

| December 7, 2007

Show Notes:

The European Union has banned phthalates in children's toys because they have been shown to impede the production of testosterone and disrupt the sexual development of boys.

Despite this, toys containing this and other chemicals are still available on the shelves of North American stores.

Mark Schapiro, author of "Exposed". talks about standards and oversight in the U.S. toy manufacturing industry.
