Extensive uranium exploration in the 1970's led British Columbians to conduct a public inquiry in uranium mining. After years of public pressure, the B.C. government imposed a 7-year moratorium on uranium mining in 1987.

The drive to find new source of energy has once again led to increased corporate and government pressure to open uranium mines in B.C. We speak with Peter Chattaway, a member of the Uranium Free B.C. Coalition.
