Anyone who's spent time in the education archipelago of Second Life knows that Lorelei Junot is a miracle worker. She is the white angel of all good land, and good things there.Lorelei (Lori Bell in the real world) is a grant writing machine and has given birth to two real world children and an entire Micronesia of Second Life real estate. Her work is all the more remarkable because she's the Director of Innovation for the Alliance Library system, which serves a network of libraries, many of them rural, in the 14,000 square miles around Peoriam Illinois. She spoke with me this week and explained how her hometown became the centre of the library world in Second Life.
