Does anyone else think that the Right Brain Babble forum headings need to be rewritten? Aside from the missing hyphen, and the fact that we no longer have a "Left Brain Babble" section to make the joke work, there's a lot more that puzzles me. I don't really know the difference between "Culture" and "Humanities and Science." When do I use "Babble Book Lounge" and when do I use "rabble writers' circle"? What about "Media"?
Hockey and Football stuff usually goes under "culture," which is fine enough, I guess, but it reminds me of the Tory Minister of Culture who, when asked what her favourite aspect of culture was, answered "Sports." I think there's a lot more to talk about wrt Culture than just your favourite movie or book (and for the latter, there seems to be at least three forums people use to post about). As Raymond Williams tells us, "Culture is ordinary." It can be about the way society digests concepts like race, sexuality, nation, law, print. All of these general conversations that aren't rooted in a headline snatched from a daily broadsheet.
Suffice it to say, I think we can do better. Am I alone? (That's another question that could start a thread in a Culture forum).

No, I always saw you as being more or less together.
Now, what were your other questions?
How about a "Kultur" forum for the highbrow, longhair stuff and jest plain ole "Culture" for the commonplace?
Hmm, Raymond Williams? We could have a "Culture" forum and a "Civilization" forum.
Actually, it's the "humanities & science" heading that bugs me. Isn't that, well, everything? How about a "science & technology" forum?
Oh, and thanks for the reassurance, Unionist. I haven't been myself lately. Y'see, aujourd’hui, ma mère est morte. Ou c’était peut-être hier, je ne suis pas sûr....
Wenn ich Kultur höre ... entsichere ich meinen Browning!

I tried googling for an image of it, and found nothing, but about 15 years ago I bought a t-shirt in a newspaper/postcard store in Nantes that had an image of rats sitting around laughing while reading a copy of La Peste.
That sounds pretty good. It reminds me of Banksy.
Maybe this thread should be moved to "Labour & Consumption"?
I read Camus in English
and so long ago it took me a while to place Catchfire's reference - if indeed that's what it was. I think we should move this to Labour, Banter, and Prairies.
My condolences, Catchfire.
