Whispers in the wind are of an Occupy fall.
I have it on good authority that Occupy is up to something for the opening of fall parliament on September 17, 2012, and am expecting a call out this weekend.
The basic rundown so far is that Occupiers from various cities will be walking to Ottawa to confront Harper. Obviously, start times in Ontario (or other provinces if they choose to sign on) will depend on the respective cities’ location so I will do my best to post these when I find out.
This trek to Ottawa will be similar to the U.S. Occupiers from across the United States marched on Washington D.C. during the summer. You can read about it here.
For Toronto, I can give you two updates regarding one year anniversary actions being planned.
1: There is a One Year Anniversary Party being planned for Monday October 15, 2012. Occupiers will return to St. James Park at King Street and Jarvis Street – the original Occupy Toronto location. I’ll update you all when more news comes rolling in.
2: A new Toronto activist group has arisen from the Occupy movement and is planning to gear up for the fall. Please see this link to their Facebook page to find out more information.

“After a thousand years pass, it builds its own funeral pyre, lining it with cinnamon, myrrh and cassia. Climbing to a rest on the very top, it examines the world all throughout the night with the ability to see true good and evil.

It never wearies, it never tires. It never questions its fate. Some say that the Phoenix is real, that it exists somewhere out there in the mountains of Arabia, elusive and mysterious.
Others say that the Phoenix is only a wish made by desperate humans to believe in the continuance of life.
But I know a secret.
We are the Phoenix.”
