Sure politics is a lot of theatre and some of it has been great recently, but the profoundly cynical appointment of Palin and other such joys has us in a tizzy. Keith is not happy with the VP appointment - the Democratic VP appointment that is. And of course the right wing will overlook an awful lot to be a heartbeat away from the presidency; and who can blame them? Speaking of power grabs Harper seems frightened of the future so he will go to the polls now, despite putting in set election dates. Plus, news on borders - new rules at the U.S. seem to apply to Keith and American Special Forces cross into Pakistan. Matt reports on how the IMF might not be good for your health and the growing gap in income in Atlantic Canada. It is enough to make one a political cynic.
