As you might know, I'm a big fan of twitter, an addictive little app that lets you share your life moments, in 140 characters or less, with the rest of the world. Well, now it's got some competition, called Jaiku. Twitter is a lovely little Henkel paring knife of a web 2.0 app. It does one small job with grace and dexterity. Jaiku is more of a Swiss Army knife. Yes, you can use it to tell the globe what you're doing right now. But, your mighty Jaiku stream of consciousness can also suck into it just about every bit of online presence you own. Jaiku allows you to let the world, or just your jaiku pals, know when you've added a pic to flickr, a website to del.icio.us, updated your blog, added a video to blip.tv. etc. In short, Jaiku can aggregate any flake of your web presence that can slip into an RSS feed. Yes, even your twitter feed. So you can post both to twitter and Jaiku automatically. I like the twitter community and its Henkel knife approach better for quick interstitial life hits, but I love Jaiku's RSS aggregation feature. You can check out mine at wmacphail.jaiku.com/feed/rss. My emerging tech company is w8nc at http://w8nc.com [8].
