Dr. Abram Hoffer interview

The Healthy Mind Body Planet Tour [3] catches up with Dr. Abram Hoffer during the spring of 2006.

From his office at the Orthomolecular Vitamin Information Centre [4] Dr. Hoffer explains how orthomolecular [5] medicine began, its successes and the opposition to it from the medical establishment.  He speaks of his career in psychiatry and highlights how as the Director of Psychiatric Research in Saskatchewan he helped pioneer research into psychedelics and schizophrenia. While there, his team also made their first discoveries on the effectiveness of vitamin therapy.

He describes what orthomolecular means, its successes and the longstanding opposition to it from the medical establishment. Dr. Hoffer offers us clear perspective on the influence of the pharmaceutical industry and wise words on how to regain control over our public medical system.
