Before conceding independence to India in 1947, Britain divided the country in two. The splitting of Pakistan and India resulted in 2 million deaths and a conflict that remains tense to this day. The partition and its present day repercussions were the topic of a talk given recently by professor Hassan Gardezi at a forum in Surrey, BC. Redeye spoke with him shortly before the forum.
